We have a winner of the Q3 competition! Q4 starts today with some changes
Dear subscribers,
thank you all for following us, and a special thank you to our regular competition participants for helping make the BASON prediction tool so awesome. Without your diligent predictions, we would not have built the BASON to where it is today.
Which is why, as of Q4, we are rewarding more of our best participants. It is no longer just the one winner that gets paid the grand prize. The point is to reward your effort, diligence, and consistency in making predictions.
The prize money is now $5,000, and it is to be distributed to the top 10 performers. First prize is still $2,000. The prize money pot - as well as the number of people who get the money - will keep growing and growing, as we wanna directly include all of you in our performance.

Q3 competition winner
The Q3 competition is finished and the winner of the $2,000 is Rosa! She captured first place after the first few weeks and never let it go.
A huge congrats to her, and a shout-out to all in the top 5: you’ve been great this quarter, keep it up and see you over the next 10 weeks!
Q4 new rules and prizes
10 weeks you say? Yes, we’re opening it today, October 4th and running it for 10 consecutive weeks, ending on Friday, December 9th 2022.
We’re planning something really cool for 2023, so we’re cutting the quarter short, but just in time for you to pick up your prizes for your Christmas shopping :)
As for the prizes, this will be the new distribution:
1st place = $2,000
2nd place = $800
3rd place = $500
4th place = $400
5th place = $300
6th to 10th place = $200 each
And yes, it’s paid in cash (in the most sought out currency - USD!). We’ve updated our competition rules to reflect this.
As emphasized, this prize pot will grow each quarter (remember our little survey a few weeks ago - we’ll implement all these changes soon enough). Stick with us now and we’ll make sure you ride our wave:

The second new thing we are introducing is a new question. After the main forecasting question - the last one, with the slider - we are adding the following:
"What do you think other investors you know would say where the value of the S&P500 will be by the end of trading day on October 7th?"
It will feature the same slider as the previous question (in this case a range from 3200 to 4200).
Why? We wanna encourage you to think more about what others around you are likely to do and predict. Just spend 30 seconds more thinking about what others are thinking. It might just improve your performance!
Q3 BASON performance
It’s been one hell of a ride! In the first half, during July and August, we were struggling to capture direction. We had 7 weeks of either very small profits or limited losses (as you can see below). But then, since the last week in August, we bounced back and finished the quarter at all time highs.
A 291% return overall, and 86% during the entire 2022 bear market. Wow!

…from the start of Q4, we’re gonna inform you not just of how our BASON options strategy is doing, but we’ll give you an overview of the entire portfolio each week. The BASON options, the BASON long-short, and our main macro plays and how they’re all holding up.

About last week…
Finally, just a quick recap of last week. We again finished with a profit - our puts got stopped out already on Wednesday (the first time that happened!), but our condors played on and delivered on their premiums by Friday in another display of stunning accuracy - 0.5% error for S&P and 1% error for DJI:
Missed direction for BTC (is it finally becoming a hedge? Or have the institutional investors sold all of their positions so it’s not going down anymore?), the 10-year, the VIX (just barely, even though it was really good on Friday at one point), and interestingly - AAPL - we predicted a bounce-back after a poor Wed performance but it kept dipping.
